Graduated from high school and started to college are big
steps and the beginning of a new chapter. In my opinion, I couldn´t wait to get
out of school and don’t have to see my classmates anymore, except for my
friends. However, I was a little scare. What if I don´t get in my dreaming
university? What if I´m not smart enough? What if I don´t make any friends?... The
insecurities that I felt in high school continue until I started my classes in
college.
Sadly, because of the Pandemic, I have online classes. Despite that, my experience was quite different that high school, besides the online learning. I made good friends and with them I have many things in common, I enjoy most of my classes and I must study more.
What advice would I give a high school student who is about to go to college?
First, create a routine to study. Second, the night is the best time for study. Third, make friends, they will be your lifeline on many occasions. Fourth, have a desk. It is important because it will help you to be more organize, especially if you have online classes. And last, have fun, enjoy this incredible experience as much as you can.

Hi Mariana. I think what you say about friends is very important. Friends from school are very important because they are the ones who know you the best, and perhaps they are the ones who will always be with you, even in college.
ReplyDeleteHi Mariana, I agree with your advice for new college students. Making friends is very important and also having a desk to study.
ReplyDeleteI love your tips haha I think they really are important and can be useful. especially meeting people and having fun, many times people try too hard on matters that are not under their own control.
ReplyDeleteHi Mariana.
ReplyDeleteSomething similar happened to me. He had the same doubts and questions, since he did not know what would happen at the University. Also, these questions added to the uncertainty when I learned that the context in which I would study would be online. However, in the end communication with colleagues and friends can be achieved, but it is clear that not in the same way as in person.
Hi, great advice.
ReplyDeleteI think make friend or colleagues is very important, because university is often overwhelming, sometime you just not into some professor or calss. So a parner can make college less stressful.
Hey Mariana
ReplyDeleteI really like your post hahaha, I agree with all your advice, but I have to mention that it is true that the night is the best time to study, but you have to be careful, sleep is an important part of learning too, if you sleep badly, the information goes faster.
Hi mariana
ReplyDeleteYour blog is very fun. I think that the most important tip is make friends or meet people.
I still feel like a schoolboy because I haven't even seen the campus. :((
I also couldn't wait to get out of high school and just keep in touch with my group of friends. Though I'm a pretty introverted and shy person, and unfortunately this is not only when I meet someone face to face, it's also when I have to talk to someone I don't know by zoom call or any other online way. Even so, my university stage is just beginning and I hope to obtain enough confidence to overcome that fear ksjdjs
ReplyDeleteYes, how important it is to have a study routine. In my case, studying in the morning helps me. I wake up around 6:30 am and my mind is so clear that I move faster. The only bad thing is that at 20:00 pm I am very sleepy. Good advices.
